International Day to “End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists” to be marked on Nov 2
Rural Media Network Pakistan will celebrate ” International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists” on November 2, 2019. RMNP in collaboration with daily newspaper “Nawa-I-AhmedpurSharqia and Press Club Chanigoth is organising a seminar entitled” Crimes against Journalists——-Role of Government to End Impunity” in canal rest house Chanigoth on 2nd November at 2 PM. Regional leaders of major political parties, civil society activists, academics, different press clubs presidents and press freedom advocates will highlight the prevailing situation for journalists community in Pakistan and will present their ideas to end impunity for crimes against journalists.It will be chaired by President RMNP Ehsan Ahmed Sehar. Seminar will be followed by “RMNP Sadiq Press Freedom Awards Category B & C Giving Ceremony .Both awards have been sponsored by Sahibzada Muhammad Umar Khan Abbasi the grandson of the last ruler of former princely Bahawalpur State Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi.
