Journalist Sagheer Ahmed shot dead in NawanKot town of District Rahimyarkhan, Pakistan

Khanpur: March 15 2024> Three unknown motorcyclists armed with Kalashnikovs and pistol shot dead journalist Sagheer Ahmed in NawanKot town of District Rahimyarkhan of Punjab province, Pakistan on Thursday at 6.30 PM . Slain young journalist was Correspondent Daily Khabrain Mutan. According to details ill-fated journalist was sitting on his pharmacy when all of sudden three unknowns armed motorbike riders opened indiscriminate firing which claimed his life. Assailants fled away from the scene in the cover of aerial firing. Motive of this murder still not known, however Police have registered a murder case against three unknown armed motorcyclists on the report of slain journalist s father Jalil Ahmed resident of Mauza Tranda Madhu Khan, Khanpur under sections 302 and 34 PPC .No arrest has been made till the filing of this repot, however Sadar Police Station Khanpur has started the investigations.
Meanwhile President Rural Media Network Pakistan (RMNP) has condemned the killings of young journalist Sagheer Ahmed and demanded of Chief Minister Marriam Nawaz Sharif and Inspector General Police Punjab to take the notice of this brutal murder of young journalist and ensure the arrest of three unknown assailants as early as possible.
