RMNP President distributes membership cards among AUJ office bearers

Ehsan Ahmed Sehar underlines the urgent need of the enrolment of the female contributors in Ahmedpur Union of Journalists
Ahmedpur Union of Journalists AhmedpurEast an affiliate of the Rural Media Network Pakistan (RMNP) organised a ceremony in the premises of Punjab college on 26th February (Wednesday). It was chaired by RMNP President Ehsan Ahmed Sehar and moderated by President Ahmedpur Union of Journalists (AUJ) Abdul Hameed Saqib.
RMNP President Ehsan Ahmed Sehar distributed AUJ membership cards among its thirteen office bearers President Abdul Hameed Saqib ,Senior Vice President Muhammad Nasar Khan Niazi, Chaudhry Muhammad Akram,Shabbir Ahmed Qureshi,Ahmed Ali Chaudhry ,Ijaz Ahmed khan,Yousaf Ghani Qureshi,Irham Salim Qadri,Malik Muhammad Sajjad, KhalilurRehman Khokhar,Imtiaz Hussain Haideri,Malik Rashad Channar and Muhammad Zubair Farooqi.
Ehsan Ahmed Sehar while addressing the participants eulogized the services of the Ahmedpur Union of journalists during last three years and assured full cooperation on the behalf of the RMNP in solving district correspondents’ problems. He reminded them that RMNP organized two training programs for AUJ members during the previous two years in which they received UNESCO CDs and RMNP training manuals. Similarly AUJ office bearers attended RMNP World Press Freedom Day and International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against journalists celebrations on 3rd May and 2nd November in 2024.He underlined to strengthen RMNP local press freedom monitoring committees so the press freedom violations be documented from feudal and religious dominated far-flung areas’.Mr Ehsan asked AUJ President to enroll female contributors in the Ahmedpur Union of Journalists so the hidden incidents of violence against rural women be reported in national and regional media.
Earlier AUJ President Abdul Hameed Saqib and others thanked RMNP President Ehsan Ahmed Sehar for his patronage and vowed to continue their struggle for the betterment of the journalist’s fraternity. On this occasion, senior journalist Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Correspondent Daily Jang was nominated as Chief Organizer Ahmedpur Union of Journalists AhmedpurEast (AUJ).
