Uch Sharif: President Rural Media Network Pakistan (RMNP) and Patron-in-Chief of Uch Press Club & Media Group, Ehsan Ahmed Sehar, has directed the newly elected office bearers of Uch Press Club to arrange Basic Journalism and TV Journalism Training Manuals in Urdu from the RMNP website and manage their copies for distribution among newly inducted members of the Press Club.

He was addressing the first meeting of the newly elected office holders of Uch Press Club & Media Group, held at Rashid Minhas Public School, Uch Sharif. The meeting was presided over by the newly elected President of Uch Press Club, Dr. Zulfikar Ali Makoal, and was attended by senior and young journalists of the area.

During his address, Ehsan Ahmed Sehar highly appreciated the journalistic services of Chief Organiser Irshad Ahmed Shad, who was elected 15 times as President of Uch Press Club and voluntarily stepped down this year. He termed this decision a positive democratic example for presidents of other press clubs who continue to cling to leadership positions. He urged senior journalists not to contest future terms and instead allow young journalists to come forward, assuring that experienced seniors should continue to guide them.

On his direction, it was decided that monthly meetings of Uch Press Club & Media Group Uch Sharif would be held regularly, and a new office of the Press Club would be established in the near future.

Earlier, Chief Organiser Irshad Ahmed Shad announced the induction of senior journalist Muhammad Akmal Sheikh, associated with Dunya TV, as Patron of Uch Press Club & Media Group Uch Sharif. The announcement was unanimously endorsed by all members present in the meeting.
