According to details, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said The journalist community effectively conveyed the government’s awareness campaign and relief measures regarding to the coronavirus.
He said that Buzdar government in Punjab will keep all the promises made for the betterment of people. Another promise made by the Buzdar government to the journalist community fulfilled today. Today, relief checks distributed to 44 journalists affected by Coronavirus. One lac rupees paid to each working journalist affected by Coronavirus.
He continued “As Information Minister, I announced the special relief package for journalists three months ago.”
Earlier Fayyaz Chohan said the Punjab information ministry will provide masks and protective gear to newspaper hawkers in a bid to protect them from the virus.
“The protective equipment will be handed to the union president tomorrow,” Fayyazul Hassan Chohan stated.
Chohan maintained that Punjab government has decided to give tax exemptions to media houses and clear their pending dues so that they don’t have to face financial losses due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.
He expressed hope that the impact of the tax exemption and payment of dues would also reach media workers.
