Oslo( Norway) Chief Editor Daily Nawai Ahmed Pur Sharqia,Pakistan, Ehsan Ahmed Sehar as a part of twelve editors attended IPI Virtual Newsroom visit to the largest Norway’s digital news paper Afterpasten today.
Norway’s Aftenposten has a global reputation as a forward thinking media organisation that has crossed over from advertising to reader revenues through subscriptions. The largest printed newspaper in the country has transitioned to now be sustainable as a purely digital media and has grown its audience with younger Norwegians. It didn’t happen by accident. It called for a deep transformation in digital, business, culture and operations through a culture of experimentation.
Editor-in-Chief Trine Eilersten and Director Products Karl Oskar Teien were the honourable hosts. IPI Executive Director Ms Barbara Trionfi,Conference & Events Manager, Ms Milica Miletic and Ms Jacqui Park, Head of Network Strategy & Innovation International Press Institute(IPI) were also present on this occasion.
All participants learnt new techniques regarding transitioning print edition to digital newspaper and appreciated the excellent and brilliant presentations. Both hosts replied volley of questions raised by the participant editors. The participants hail from Austria, Australia, Hungary, Nigeria, Ireland, Jordan, , Slovenia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
