Attaullah Tarar visits Ishrat Fatima’s residence, honours her broadcasting legacy
Islamabad:Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar visited the residence of legendary broadcaster Ishrat Fatima in Islamabad on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister paid rich tribute to Ishrat Fatima’s meritorious services to the field of broadcasting, spanning more than four decades.
He said that Ishrat Fatima is a name known and loved across Pakistan, and described her as a living legend of the country’s media landscape.
The Minister said he has requested Ishrat Fatima to join Pakistan Television (PTV), adding that her association with the national broadcaster would serve as a source of inspiration and learning, particularly for the younger generation.
He noted that she carries with her the living legacy of Pakistan’s broadcasting history.
Ishrat Fatima expressed gratitude to the Minister for his affectionate gesture and appreciated the spirit of acknowledging, respecting, and encouraging talent.
