Waziristan journalist Shehryar Mehsud arrested
South Waziiristan: A local senior tribal journalist, columnist and blogger Shehryar Mehsud has been arrested reportedly on the orders of political administration of South Waziristan Agency.
Tribal journalists alleged that he was arrested for exposing the corruption of political agent of SWA Islam Zeb’ in the development projects. He wrote a column in an Urdu daily Akhbar e Khyber and was receiving threatening calls from the administration of South Waziristan. He is said to be arrested on orders of political agent, but the administration is denying.
