RMNP demands Pak govt to use diplomatic channels for the release of jailed journalist
Rural Media Network Pakistan has urged the Pakistan government to use diplomatic channels to secure release of television reporter Faizullah Khan who has been jailed for four years by the Afghan authorities for having illegally crossed the border.
RMNP statement warned the holding of demonstrations in Pakistan with the collaboration of press clubs and journalists unions if the imprisoned journalist was not released before Eid-ul-Fitr.Press Freedom Coordinator RMNP Ejaz Ahmed Khan advocate stated that ARY News reporter, Faizullah Khan had mistakenly crossed the Afghanistan border during one of his assignments has been sentenced to four years of rigorous imprisonment by Afghan authorities.
The decision by Afghan government has angered journalists across Pakistan,said RMNP . Press Freedom Coordinator Ejaz Ahmed Khan advocate 
opined that all journalists stand united with ARY News and its team on the matter.He condemned the arrest and demanded of immediate and safe release of Faizullah Khan.
