Punjab information minister apologizes to Nargis, Megha
Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Fayazul Hasan Chohan has tendered an apology to stage actresses Nargis and Megha over obscene remarks on Friday.
In a video message, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Punjab Information Minister said, “I apologise to Nargis sahiba from the core of my heart. She is a very respectable person, a star of Pakistan film industry.”
Chohan said that during a cultural show in Lahore, in response to a question about to end vulgarity in theatres, a word slipped my tongue about Nargis sahiba and a TV channel hyped it due to personal grudges. It is pertinent to mention here that on Thursday, stage actress Nargis had threatened Fayazul Hasan Chohan with legal action over latter’s obscene remarks.
Responding to Chohan’s offer, Nargis asserted she has left glamouring industry of showbiz long ago and is living a happy life. “I don’t talk about anyone and I expect that no one should talk about me,” stated Nargis.

Terming Chohan’s remarks as absurd, Nargis had urged provincial minister to review his selection of words. “Nobody should use such derogatory remarks about a woman living peaceful life in her house. Otherwise every respectable citizen holds right to initiate legal action”, warned Nargis.
At a mixed gathering in Lahore, Chohan was heard saying that he would have transformed Nargis to ‘Haji Nargis’. He also insinuated that actor Megha would have fasted for 300, instead of 30 days in a year, under his supervision.
