Press Club Allahabad members  stage demonstration as a mark of protest against the killing of NuwaKot journalist Sagheer Ahmed

Allahabad: March 16 :  Local journalists staged a demonstration in front of Press Club as a mark of protest against the brutal murder of Nawankot based correspondent Sagheer Ahmed Lar on March 14 ,2024 Thursday evening.
Protestors wearing black bands on their shoulders displayed placards inscribed with the demand of immediate arrest of the armed killers of journalist Sagheer Ahmed. Press Club Allahabad members Abdul Khaliq Bhatti,Suhail Ahmed, Syed Asghar Ali Shah,Muhammad Bilal Baloch,Khalid Aziz Taheem,SaifurRehman Bhatti,Jam Bakhat Ali,Jam Ali Tanveer and Riaz Khan Gorgej in their speeches demanded of Chief Minister Punjab Marriam Nawaz, Inspector General Police Punjab, Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur and District Police Officer Rahimyarkhan for the immediate arrest of the all three assailants and submit the challan of  journalist’s murder case in the Anti Terrorist Court for speedy trial. Protestors urged Punjab government to ensure security measures for the safety of journalists working in hostile environment.
