Journalist Syed Muhammad Shah gunned down in Jacobabad district,Sindh province

RMNP condemns the killing of TV journalist Syed Muhammad Shah and demands immediate arrest of the killers

Jacobabad: Syed Muhammad Shah, a correspondent of Ab-Tak TV channel, in Garhi Khairo Tehsil of Jacobabad District, Sindh province, was martyred by armed men who opened fire on him in the dark of night. According to details unknown armed men shot dead former President Press Club Garhi Khero in Syed Altaf Shah village of Tehsil Garhi Khero on Thursday. It has been learnt that the armed men knocked at the door of Syed Muhammad Shah’s house, when he appeared in the door they sprayed him with bullets and fled away from the scene. Bereaved family members, friends and colleagues brought the body of the journalist to Garhi Khero taluka hospital, which was handed back to heirs after completion of autopsy. Sources said that police had neither filed a case nor arrested any suspect yet.
Rural Media Network Pakistan (RMNP) has strongly condemned the murder of TV journalist Syed Muhammad Shah and termed it as failure of the law-enforcing agencies in Sindh province. RMNP demanded that the government should immediately arrest the killers of journalist Syed Muhammad Shah and bring them to justice. As per RMNP monitoring Syed Muhammad Shah is the third journalist in Pakistan and second in Sindh province killed during this year.
