MIANWALI: Unidentified gunmen gunned down a local journalist Shahzad Iqbal in Mianwali on Tuesday. According to police, armed men intercepted Iqbal motorcycle while on the way along with his brother in Mianwali town of Punjab province injuring them seriously. Shahzad suffered multiple bullet wounds and scrummed to his injuries while on way to hospital. His brother was being treated in the hospital. Motives behind his murder are yet to be ascertained. Police was investigating motives behind the assassination. According to the monitoring of the Rural Media Network Pakistan,five Pakistani journalists and four media workers have been killed this year.
