DCMF director relieved of his duties
Doha Centre for Media Freedom has announced the departure of its general director, Jan Keulen, who was relieved of his duties on November 26.
Members of staff at the centre were informed of the decision by the finance and administrative affairs director, Saleh Shawi at a meeting on December 1. Shawi lauded Keulen’s valuable contribution to the centre and his achievements during his tenure as director.
Shawi called on the employees to continue their work and to intensify their efforts ahead of the appointment of a new general director.
Shawi also underlined DCMF’s continued commitment to all its local and international partnerships in the field of media, the protection of journalists and press freedom.
Jan Keulen who was appointed as a director of DCMF in March 2011 was relieved of his duties on November 26.
