Broadcast journalist shot dead in provincial capital Lahore
LAHORE: A senior journalist of private news channel Capital TV was shot dead outside the Lahore Press Club at Davis road here this afternoon. According to details, Hassnain Shah was on his way to Lahore Press Club from the Capital TV office when pillion-riding assailants opened fire on his vehicle, leaving the journalist dead on the spot. Police have reached the crime scene to gather the evidence while the body of the slain journalist has been shifted to the hospital for the medico-legal procedure.
Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Sarda Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the firing incident and sought a report from the police high-ups. The Chief Minister has directed that the accused involved in the incident should be arrested soon by utilizing all available resources.
