Ten Pakistani journalists killed in 2020 in rural areas and small towns, RMNP report
Ten Pakistani journalists have been killed in 2020 in Pakistan as per the monitoring of the Rural Media Network Pakistan(RMNP).All these ill-fated journalists hail from small towns and rural areas of Pakistan. Out of these ten journalists, 9 were killed in different areas of rural Pakistan while a district based journalist found dead in Sweden. On 8th December 2020, one Christian journalist was shot dead in Dera Ismail Khan.
President RMNP Ehsan Ahmed Sehar said that since 2000, majority of the journalists who were killed in the line of duty in Pakistan belong to rural areas and small towns of the country.
