Cold ties between govt, media worry CPNE
QUETTA: The Balochistan chapter of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has expressed deep concern over “cold relations” between the provincial government and media organisations.
The issue came up for a detailed discussion at a meeting presided over by the president of the CPNE’s Balochistan chapter, Anwar Sajidi.
A suggestion was made at the meeting that CPNE representatives should meet the chief minister as soon as possible so that his attention could be drawn to the problem.
The meeting finally decided that a two-member committee, comprising Raza-ur-Rehman and Kamran Mumtaz, would make efforts for arranging a meeting with the chief minister.
