Islamabad: Peace & Justice Network (PJN) announced the launch of the AI-based Digital Defenders Pakistan Portal (https://digitaldefenders.pk/), as part of its national initiative on Safe, Protected and Inclusive Digital Civic Space in Pakistan and Strengthening CSOs, NGOs, Peace Advocates and Human Rights Defenders in the Digital Space. This innovative, AI-powered platform is designed to strengthen the safety, resilience, and protection of Human Rights Defenders, journalists, and civil society actors across Pakistan. It provides an integrated digital ecosystem that includes real-time digital safety guidance, confidential incident reporting, legal aid support, and access to multilingual digital security resources. The portal also enables secure engagement and knowledge sharing among defenders, helping to build a more connected and protected rights-based digital community. In an increasingly complex digital environment marked by rising online threats, surveillance, and harassment, this initiative aims to ensure that those defending human rights are equipped with timely tools, secure channels, and responsive support systems.
