DG Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh Visits Bahawalpur Chamber to Discuss Industry Promotion
Bahawalpur: Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh visited the office of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday and met with its President Syed Zafar Sharif.
During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of mutual cooperation to promote local industries in the Bahawalpur region and create new employment opportunities. The discussion focused on how collaboration between Radio Pakistan and the business community could help highlight industrial potential and economic opportunities in Bahawalpur and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh said that Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur, since its establishment in 1975, has played a significant role in promoting the cultural, agricultural, economic, and literary development of South Punjab. He added that the station has consistently highlighted regional issues and development initiatives through its broadcasts.
He also emphasized the need to further strengthen the effectiveness of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur by improving its infrastructure and facilities.
President of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif appreciated the role of Radio Pakistan and assured that the Chamber would extend its cooperation in initiatives aimed at institutional strengthening and infrastructure improvement of the Bahawalpur station.
Both sides also agreed that a delegation from the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry would visit the Radio Pakistan Headquarters in Islamabad in order to further enhance cooperation between the two institutions.
Vice President of the Chamber Muhammad Azam Qureshi, Executive Committee members Manzoor Ayaz Khan and Uzra Mahmood Sheikh, Chamber member Faisal Nadeem, Rehan Bin Javed, Member Cantonment Board Bahawalpur, Syed Tanseer Tirmizi, IRO FBR RTO Bahawalpur, and Imran Javed, Station Director Radio Pakistan Islamabad, were also present on the occasion.
