35 IDPs Journalists get compensation
Peshawar: Along with millions of IDPs from North Wazirstan, as many as 35 journalists have also been amongst the IDPs. PFUJ has been making efforts to support them while has managed to get Rs. 50 thousand support fund for each from Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi as compensation on Monday.
President PFUJ Rana Muhammad Azeem and Secretary General Amin Yousuf have expressed their full support to these journalists.
Pakistan Military has launched army action Zarb-e-Azb to fight against the terrorists in North Wazirstan resulting in millions of families displaced from different affected areas who are setteld in province of Khyber Pakhtonkhwah.
A delegation of 35 journalists led by Tribal Union of Journalists NWA president Noor Behram arrived Peshawar and Assistant Secretary General PFUJ Ziaul Haq received them at Peshawar press club. HAe assured on the behalf of PFUJ that journalists of Pakistan would stand by them in this difficult time and would raise voice for their rights at national and inter national level.
Later, they met Governor KPK Sardar Mehtab Abbasi who appreciated the efforts of the journalists to tackle the issue of war against terrorists and announced Rs. 50 thousand as compensation for each displaced journalist.
