Pemra sets up 24-hour public complaint centre

ISLAMABAD: In order to facilitate public complaints against any aspect of broadcast media or cable TV operators, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has set up a 24-hour Complaint Call Centre (0800-73672).
The toll free number is active round the clock.
Pemra has urged the public to immediately inform Pemra through this call centre, if any illegal cable TV operation or any kind of violation is observed in their area, said a press release on Thursday.
The complaints can also be easily lodged through Pemra website, www.pemra.gov.pk or at any Pemra Council of Complaints Office, located at all four provincial capitals and one at the federal capital.
Moreover, the instant complaints against programme content of TV channels or area cable TV operators can also be sent to Pemra through SMS at following cell numbers: Pemra Authority Members at 0322-5122022 and 0321-8484221.
